Learning From My Gambling Blunders

[ English ]

1st to explain why I write this essay. I have been gambling on the internet or at land-based casinos for a great many years. I have discovered, the fixation can take a hold of you and you won’t even realize it up until you are beaten. Particularly if you’re on a winning streak. I’ve gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in a very short amount of time and still on occasion, I’ll go too far. It appears you’re just having fun until you decide to track your losses and the anguish settles in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can earn it back" constantly. It doesn’t works. Then you become queasy in your gut and the more you try the faster you lose.

When you notice that you are up, remain on the UP! When you start to be beaten, don’t say to yourself, "well perhaps just one more" and over and over again, trust me, this logic RARELY ever operates. Say you are betting on slots, have an amount set to the side before starting your action. Don’t exceed that limit, no matter how tempting. If you happen to win, put that in a different cup. Do not spend your profits no matter what. Once you’ve gambled through your original set limit, bail out. Leave, regardless if it is on the internet or at a land based betting house, do not stay around. Always remember, there will be a different day, another time.

Remember, betting is supposed to be FUN not exhausting, sickening work! If you are not having fun yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan not manage the loss, don’t even begin.
